Leaving Cert Applied 1 cover two modules which include :

           Ø                  Individuality and Identity

Ø                  The Local Environment

      Starting on the first module of identity and individuality, here are some different approaches which can be used to create a self-portrait. 

     This is a typographical self-portrait.This was created by printing out the persons favourite song lyrics and using them in different areas to create the facial features.

Here, using a photograph taken at side view the student created different patterns,designs and effects to create a very eye catching and interesting self- portrait.

This self-portrait was developed by applying different fabrics and textures for the areas of the face, by using different threads and sewing techniques this creates a very unique piece of art work.
