Hi Class, I hope you had a nice weekend at home,I hope ye are working away and trying your best to get study done under these circumstances...but we will keep pushing forward!! So this week we will continue looking at Harry Clarke. This is a nice video clip that is quite interesting.. I also encourage you to look the Hugh Lane Gallery and view Harry Clarkes work in more detail.

Hi Class,Hope you are all keeping well. I would like us to start looking at Irish Artist Harry Clarke, he was on the mock paper so could be a possibility in Exams. I have two very good clips from nationwide that I would like ye to look at,and I have some additional notes aswell for ye to read up on. His father Joshua Clarke was a church decorator and manufacturer of art, and had a successful business based at 33 North Frederick Street. The business included stained glass manufacturing. Harry Clarke was apprenticed to his father at the age of seventeen; he attended classes in stained glass art at the Dublin Metropolitan School of Art, and later at the South Kensington Schools of Design. He won scholarships to both the School of Art in Dublin and South Kensington.  In 1913, when he was 24, he won the first prize in the Art In

Hi Class, Hope you are all keeping well, did ye watch the documentary on Artist Sean Scully? If you didnt you can get it on the real player. I would like ye to start practising on life drawing so I have a few links below that  I would like ye to explore and just go with what ever suits ye,start perhaps on facial drawing and then into the full pose,which ever ye want try it!!! 5th Year Art History Question-23rd March

Hi Class, Hope you are all keeping well. I hope your mind map of Newgrange came out well for you. I would like ye to do the following question into Art History folder. 2014 Higher level: It can be argued that the most impressive early tombs in Ireland were passage graves . Discuss this statement with reference to one named passage grave and two other types of named tombs from either the Mesolithic or Neolithic periods.
