3rd year Junior Art project 2016/2017
This years Art themes were issued to students and teachers on Mon 3rd of Oct. Here, students must choose one of the following for their project.
1: Id like to be able to do that.
2: On my way home from school
3: Absurd and ridiculous
4: Grow to eat
5:Water,the source of life
6: Poem: Digging
Between my finger and my thumb
The squat pen: snug as a gun.
Under my window, a clean rasping sound
When the spade sinks into gravelly ground:
My Father, digging.I look down
Till his straining rump among the flowerbeds
Bends low, comes up twenty years away
Stooping in rhythm through potato drills
Where he was digging.
The coarse boot nestled on the lug,the shaft
Against the inside knee was levered firmly.
He rooted out tall tops, buried the bright edge deep
To scatter new potatoes that we picked,
Loving their cool hardness in our hands.
Between my finger and my thumb
The squat pen rests.
Ill dig with it.

frame of Junior Cert Art Project 2017
This guide line which I have set out marks when each section
of the project needs to start and when is to be completed. I t is very
important to be familiar with this time frame as it will keep you on track and ensure
you complete the project on time.
Section 1: Painting

Prep for painting/poster: 3 Weeks: starting the 3rd
of Oct. - Fri 21st Oct
Complete painting/poster: 3 Weeks: Starting 24th
of Oct- Fri 18th Nov
Support Studies for poster: 1 Week: Starting 21st
Nov- Fri 25th Nov
Section 2: Option 2d

Prep for option (lino) 3 weeks: Starting 28th
Nov-Fri 16th Dec
Complete Option: 4 Weeks: Starting 9th Jan –Fri 3rd
